Charity News

Hello again, yes the CD is finished and now begins the hard work of promoting it!

A charity album project started in 2013, 'Legacy' is my big idea and brain child! All proceeds from sales will go to The Basil Skyers Myeloma Foundation The album of original music in various styles is performed and recorded by artists from across the globe. All artists have donated their original tracks free of charge.

The lead track 'Breathe' was especially written for the album and is sung by 14 year old Mya De Angelo, and is accompanied by the beautiful guitar playing of another 14 year old, Jack Donald. Both these young people are from Nottingham in England and surely have big futures in the music industry. Definitely something in that Notts water for sure! Just think in years to come when they are famous you can say you 'discovered' them ages ago and have a CD to prove it. Who knows, the CD could become highly collectable if they both make it really big!

Here is an interview with Mya Here is May performing unplugged singing one of her original compositions 'Don't You Break Me Now' Don't know about you but I'am already a huge fan of Mya! As part of the promotion effort the album will be formally launched on June 22nd in Nottingham where a fund raising walk is taking place. A further launch event will take place in Spain at the annual Basil Skyers golf event will be held on Thursday 10th of July. This event is hosted by Cambepbell's Bar in Roda Spain. After golf in the day there will be food, prize giving, and live music in the evening. This was an amazing event last last year and promises to be even bigger and better this year. Definitely worth a visit if you are in that part of the world! Details of both events here www.basilskyersfoundation.org/

Music News

You may recall that I was invited to guest with the house band at the Coach & Horses Jam in Leyton last march. I am happy to report that I had an absolute blast with jam host Stevie king and the boys in the band. They shot video footage of my spot which you can see below

Here is one of my favourite moments from my guest spot is where I perform "Little Red Rooster" I had a ball playing this one song. Check this out!

A great guy called Keith Ellwood shot some nice black & white pictures at my guest spot. Not only is Keith a fantastic guitarist & nice guy, he is a very creative photographer too as these pictures show.

  Finally .....

Just a reminder that the band is playing Oliver's on Friday 6th of June. http://oliversjazzbar.co.uk/

The last time we played there my niece Una joined me on stage to sing a reggae version of "Knocking On Heaven's Door" That was fun and special! 'Superwife' Soaf will be there selling some LEGACY CD's so its bound to be a fun lively night! If anyone wants a physical CD just email me at bbclyde2@yahoo.co.uk and I will mail you a copy for £5.

All the best

Clyde
